Collections and Donations

As well as the personal difficulty corona virus has caused us all, it also means that the income for the church has fallen. In order to try and reduce this impact we have now set up a 'Give a Little' donations page where you can make a contribution online to help support the work of our church. Please click on the link below of you wish to make a donation:

Brighouse Charity Jigsaw Festival

St Martin's Church in Brighouse were obliged to cancel the Charity Jigsaw Festival 2020 and so, in early July, they decided to try to sell the jigsaw stock through an online shop which was launched in early September. They opened with a stock of 1,420 jigsaws and have sold over 400 so far raising £4,000 for their nominated charities. If they could sell the remaining 1,000 they believe that they could exceed £14,000 and maybe go on to challenge the figure raised at their 2019 Festival.

It is fairly well known that the jigsaw manufacturers are struggling to meet increased demand from people being locked down, as factory output is reduced due to social distancing guidelines. St Martin's hope they can help jigsaw makers across the UK if you would like to visit their shop.

If there are jigsaw makers in your family or social circle or you are looking for Christmas Present ideas and would welcome the opportunity buy jigsaws online from a quality supplier, they why not visit the shop on the following link:

Buddies

We have set up a buddy system, whereby those who are able are paired up with those who are less able, to help with shopping, collecting medication, keeping in touch over the phone to combat isolation and so on. Please contact Rev’d Michelle if you can help or if would like some help.
